Desert Haven Preschool is an outreach program
of the Desert Haven Church. The church provides an excellent climate
for each child to grow in the fullness of his/her potential
as a child of God. We are fully licensed by the Arizona State Department of Health Services.
The program is based on the knowledge that these early years are ones of phenomenal development: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. The curriculum challenges the child to develop through experiences with language, numbers, nature, art, music, and the community itself. The school provides an atmosphere of love and acceptance for each child.
facility
The 11,000 square feet used by the preschool
includes classrooms, 6,000 square foot multi-use room, and a fun outdoor playground. The facility has top sanitation and fire ratings.
We have a monitored fire and security system.
Desert Haven Church was established in 1965 in Tempe, Arizona. In 2001, the church moved to its current location on Ellsworth Road. Desert Haven Church is a member of the Reformed Church in America.
teachers
Desert Haven's Preschool teachers and staff
meet higher standards than many other area preschools. All preschool
staff are well-screened with criminal background checks. All Preschool employees have completed First Aid and CPR.
classes
Three year olds (must be three and potty-trained
on first day of attendance) through Five year olds have
a choice in schedules: 5 days, 3 days, or 2 days.
Our morning program
runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 11:00 am.
Our afternoon PRE-K program runs Monday through Friday from noon to 2:30 pm.
Snack
is included. Class sizes are limited to 18, with a minimum
of two staff in each class.
Desert Haven's Preschool follows the Gilbert
Schools Calendar.
There is a $50 nonrefundable registration donation to reserve a spot.
monthly tuition:
5 Days $240/child/month
3 Days $165/child/month
2 Days $130/child/month
Pre-K Program: 5 days $250/child/month
Tuition is payable by cash, check, or credit/debit card. Parents can opt for automatic debit to make bill-paying easier.
